Equine Physiotherapy is not considered as an alternative to veterinary treatment, but rather as a supplement treatment in the post injury phase and as a part of a preventative maintenance programme. It is the aim of Equine Physiotherapy to improve and maintain optimal well-being and performance. Service I offer: A comprehensive physiotherapy service including a full physical examination to check the range of movement and mobility of your horse and to reveal areas of tension, tenderness and lack of mobility. The treatment involves: Soft tissue techniques Passive and active stretching techniques Joint mobilisation and adjusting techniques Matrix Therapy To achieve the relaxation in deeper tissue structures, stretch out adhesions in muscles and optimise joint mobility. The use of Matrix–Therapy is a valuable support to enhance deep muscle stimulation, pain relief and activates the blood, lymph and nerve system supply.
