Welcome to Braeburn Park Riding Ponies :: New Zealand. Vision My Vision is to run a small, exclusive, boutique-style Riding Pony Stud. With the aim to breed ponies, galloways and small hacks of the highest quality. I set out to produce a beautiful and elegant type of pony character, with correct conformation and big moving ponies with natural show-ring presence. I plan on breeding on average two foals per year, with the Stud's focus being on quality rather than quantity. My aim is to raise the bar of quality animals in New Zealand and over time I hope that Braeburn Park will be among the most successful Riding Pony & Show Horse Studs in New Zealand and Australia and will go on to export my youngstock all around the world. The Stud has been fortunate enough to have sourced, imported and utilized some top beautiful female lines of the highest quality to be the foundation mares of the stud. With the help of one of Australia's top show horse producers, Anthony Mountney, we have been allowed access to some of Australia's top Riding Pony stallions and we have developed a winning breeding program that will evolve and progress over time. I do intend to continue importing the best bloodlines I can, when the opportunity arises and within the next year or so, have brought in a top colt/stallion so that I have complete control over the quality of my stud; remembering that I wish to continue rising the standard of NZ show ponies and this will be done by purchasing the best bloodline mares and sires that I can get my hands on to produce that beautiful and elegant riding pony/Galloway/small hack type, with correct confirmation, big movement and natural show-ring presence with an excellent temperament to boot.
