Welcome to The Irish School of Horsemanship! At the Irish School of Horsemanship, we aim to create well rounded horsemen, not just riders. Ireland has long been known as a producer of top horses and horsemen. In a 12th century report to Henry II, Geraldus Cambrensis wrote of the Irish riding without 'saddle, nor boots nor spurs...they use halters which serve the purpose of a bridle and bit and do not prevent the horses from feeding as they always live upon grass'. The Irish School of Horsemanship has been created to continue this long tradition of horsemanship. We offer everything a horseman needs-good care, good grass, good training facilities, and good instruction. We offer the standard riding school, along with a number of alternative equestrian pursuits, including dressage, natural horsemanship, western riding and vaulting (the art of gymnastics and horsemanship on horseback).
