Lesson Structure

When booking your group lessons it is important to know you are selecting the correct level.

This is a description of what rides to book depending on your ability.

LEAD REIN

For riders who are just starting on their riding journey. You will be in a small group of up to 8 riders and parents/carers/siblings or friends will be leading you on a selected pony. Great for first time experiences and to learn the basic's such as the 3 S's-Stop, Start and Steer!!

BEGINNERS

This is for riders who have moved on from LEAD REIN and can now walk and trot holding both reins in balance. You are not led in this lesson and will be riding independently. This is where you get your first try at canter before moving to novice.

NOVICE

This is for riders who are ready to learn how to canter!! Once you have been told to move up from beginners you will be ready for Novice. This is an hour group, you'll be doing trotting poles, trotting without stirrups and cantering. Learn how to ride circles and school movements,

PROGRESS

This group is working more independently, working on balance in the canter, do poles and learn how to canter without stirrups. Also learning how to jump starts here!!

INTERMEDIATE

This is where we progress our jumping, learning lateral work and learning how to improve your horses/pony way of going.

ADVANCED

This is our top child's group. This is jumping courses, working on lateral movements, contact and balance. On these groups you should be able to tack up your own horse too.
