Since its foundation we have been trying to breed good looking, good moving showjumpers with good temperaments and friendly disposition. And foremost careful and athletic horses other owners and riders can enjoy and win on at any level! After all, we all want to come home with a rosette when we go competing whether it is in a Newcomers or Grade A classes so they have to be genuine and careful! Several of our homebreds have been sold abroad: Renkum Rapido and Renkum Redhill to the USA, Renkum L’Atitude and Renkum Granado to France, Renkum Demi Jete to Germany. Some Renkum Horses have gone eventing and gone on breeding eventers like Renkum Blathain and Fiorella (2 nd Dublin young eventers class) . Harry Meade rides Jovial Valentino sold in-utero from Renkum Stud. Others have gone into Dressage. It’s jumpers we aim to breed and we were fortunate enough to have some really top class competition mares which competed themselves at the highest possible international level. Such as Wiston Bridget, (by kind permission of Mrs Jeanette Edwards), Pebble Beach and Cordula, Baldane, Dorenda, Inish MacNevin the last Grade A daughter of Coevers xx. And more recently Amore, Raja II and Lafleur des Collines who jumped in World Cups for Belgium. Next to these mares we have been competing our stallions ourselves, even at International level which has given us an unique insight in their stronger and weaker points enabling us to make more considered choice with our matings.
