Attention all horse riding enthusiasts! Gransha Equestrian Centre is thrilled to announce our upcoming Inter Schools Derby on Bank Holiday Monday, 25th May 2026.

This event is open to full-time students aged 5-19 years old, so gather your friends and get ready for an exciting day of competition.

Our derby will feature individual and team competitions, with a maximum of 18 jumps including Working Hunter fences, cross country obstacles, and a show jumping finale.

This is the perfect opportunity to showcase your skills and compete against other talented riders.

Teams can be formed from different schools, so bring your school pride and represent your institution on our beautiful grounds.

Don't wait too long to enter, as entries will close on Wednesday 20th May at midnight.

All entries must be made through the convenient Gransha Equestrian App. And that's not all - we'll also have delicious hot food available throughout the day to keep you fueled up for the competition. ONE Member from each Team must complete the Inter-Schools Derby Team Form

*** TEAM COMPETITION RULES ***

• Teams should be made up of riders from Classes 3 Primary, 5 Novice & 6 Open.
• Teams may consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 rider/horse combinations
• One rider may ride two different horses, with each rider/horse combination counting separately towards the team
• Each team must choose its own team name
• Teams may be made up of riders from different schools
• Riders do not jump a separate team round
• Their individual round scores will count as their team scores
• The lowest 3 scores and times from each team will count towards the team result
• Post-primary school competitors may enter both the Novice and Open classes
• The same rider/horse combination may not compete more than once
