British Riding Clubs (BRC) is delighted to announce a new sponsorship partnership with Howden, the global insurance broker, enabling BRC to continue to provide training, competition and equestrian events for its members. The partnership underlines Howden’s continued commitment to supporting both leisure and professional riders, and further strengthens its connection to the equestrian sector.
Howden will take on title sponsorship of three BRC Championships: the Winter Dressage Championships, the National Horse Trials Championships and the Combined Championships. These events allow senior and junior members to compete across dressage, show jumping and eventing, in both teams and as individuals, with a breadth of classes on offer across many levels.
Rachael Hollely-Thompso: “We are delighted to welcome Howden on board and are looking forward to working with them. Their support demonstrates their commitment to the grassroots equestrian community, and it will enable us to continue to run high quality events for our members. We are excited to collaborate and offer further support for our clubs and members.”
Howden is an established insurance broker to the racing and equestrian industry, with a market leading equine division that provides solutions to equestrian associations, racecourses, racehorse trainers, stud farms and bloodstock owners, riding schools, livery yards, and horse owners.
Howden is the official insurance broker of British Horse Society (BHS), the parent organisation to BRC, and is also insuring all BRC activities at national, area and club level.
Catherine Morgan, Head of Equine, Howden comments: “BRC provides fantastic opportunities for riders to train, compete and be part of a community of like-minded equestrians. Their events are so important in ensuring the sport thrives for the benefit of its members and the wider equestrian community. We’re proud to be supporting BRC with the sponsorship of three of their championship events, as well as advising BRC and the British Horse Society’s (BHS) individual members on their insurance requirements. Robust insurance is not only critical for both riders and horses, but also for enabling equestrian events to go ahead.”
