On Friday 19 December, Dressage will take centre stage at London International Horse Show with ‘Power & Precision’, the latest instalment of the LeMieux Masterclass Series, hosted by British Olympic Dressage rider and World Championship silver medallist Richard Davison.
Joining Davison in this highly anticipated session will be three guest participants, including world-renowned Dressage judge, Stephen Clarke. Clarke brings unparalleled experience into the arena, having judged at the highest level of the sport, including at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, and having been President of the Ground Jury at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The Masterclass will showcase how to develop some of the key Grand Prix movements which require a high degree of collection, such as piaffe, passage, and canter pirouettes.
Davison will ride his promising Grand Prix horse, Intero – a 12-year-old gelding by Chippendale, co-owned with his wife, Gillian. As Davison works through these advanced movements, Clarke will offer live commentary from the ground, providing insights into the nuances of what judges look for. Meanwhile, Davison will provide tips and training advice for the audience to take home and apply in their own schooling at home.
Together, Davison and Clarke will offer invaluable insights from their respective experience in the Dressage world. Davison has competed at the Show for over 20 years, during which he has also represented Great Britain at numerous Championships, and Clarke is one of the most authoritative voices in international Dressage judging.

Looking ahead to the Masterclass, Davison said: “I am thrilled to be back at London International to present this Dressage Masterclass. It’s such a privilege to work with Stephen; not only is he one of the most respected judges in the world, but he explains everything so calmly and clearly, and in such a way his advice has immediate effect.”
Jonathan Goold, Event Director, added: “The LeMieux Masterclass Series offers an exceptional platform for world-renowned riders, like Richard Davison, to share their expertise with a passionate and eager audience. We are also incredibly honoured to welcome Stephen Clarke for the first time to the New Horizon Plastics London Arena. I am convinced that this Masterclass will provide an excellent fusion of perspectives on the sport both from a competitor and a judge’s viewpoint.”
Davison is excited to soon announce the final participants of this Power & Precision LeMieux Masterclass, taking place in the New Horizon Plastics London Arena on Friday 19 December. To purchase your tickets to London International Horse Show 2025, please click here.
