...claiming back-to-back victories by winning the 2025 Defender Burghley Horse Trials.

The defending champions rose to the occasion, delivering a flawless performance to secure Ros’s second Burghley title, matching the finishing score record she had set just a year earlier. Together, the pair have also made history as the first horse-and-rider combination to win both the CCI5* Burghley and Badminton Horse Trials twice.

This remarkable triumph was all the more poignant given her surprise entry to this year’s event, following her withdrawal from European team selection after announcing her pregnancy.

Austin O’Connor and Colorado Blue claimed second spot. He becomes the first Irish rider to finish on podium since 1966. World number one, Harry Meade, once again mesmerising, claimed third with Cavalier Crystal for the third consecutive year and fourth with Annaghmore Valoner. Harry bettered last year’s result by ending with three in the top ten.
