THE BEST PROFESSIONALS AT WORK
There is a good reason why the Dinard International Show Jumping event has earned itself a place among the world's best CSI events. An exceptional venue, a unique atmosphere, an extraordinary audience... but also organizational teams accustomed to major events. Alongside the Mars family, many people work behind the scenes to offer the best in high-level sport, such as Rémy Lessaq and Patrick Borg.ational lineup is exceptional every year.“
“We have been working with the Mars family for 14 years. At the time, it was for the Grand Parquet in Fontainebleau in the summer, and then the adventure continued in Dinard,” recalls Rémy Lessaq, director of the Brame Group. "Our role is to ensure that all the structures are assembled and the decorations are put in place. We are used to working at some of the most beautiful competitions, but Dinard is really in a class of its own, with its unique terrain, which makes you feel like you're in a coliseum, and its special atmosphere and large crowds. Mrs. Mars takes particular care with the decorations. The color pink, which is specific to the event, has become its signature and helps to make it so unique. There's a reason why the international lineup is exceptional every year.“
”Even though we work on a lot of competitions around the world, Dinard remains a special event for us,“ continues Patrick Borg, founder of Borg Event, a world leader in stable management and stable manager for the Dinard International Jumping competition. ”Its size alone makes it special. Almost 200 specialized vehicles, 390 stalls, 390 horses, 2,220 bales of shavings, 300 bales of hay... These figures may seem anecdotal, but they are quite rare in France for a CSI5*. It's also a real challenge for us because the competition is located in the city center, with several stable areas and parking lots scattered all around. Our role is to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible so as not to cause too much disruption to traffic and local residents, but also to guarantee everyone's safety. We usually start working on the organization two months in advance, then we arrive on the Monday morning of the event. Even though we are the conductors of the stables, we are not alone.e work closely with FEI stewards, veterinarians, security teams, volunteers who are particularly fantastic in Dinard, and of course the Mars family, with whom we have been collaborating on this show jumping event since 2017. A mutual trust has developed between us. We love coming back every year. It's a historic competition with a rare atmosphere and an enthusiastic audience."
Course designers, volunteers, drivers... everyone contributes to the reputation of the Dinard International Show Jumping event around the world and, year after year, to its success with both riders and the public.
