Hong Kong, 12 September 2025 – The Longines Hong Kong International Horse Show (LHKIHS), owned by Clarion Events Asia with HPower Group providing the Sports and Equestrian Management, is set to return to AsiaWorld-Expo from 30 January to 1 February 2026. With the support of Strategic Partner, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), LHKIHS will continue its mission of fostering equestrian sport and its community in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and is set to be the perfect welcoming celebration for the auspicious Year of the Horse, which begins in February 2026. The horse is known for its energetic, charismatic, and independent spirit, qualities that will once again be on full display at LHKIHS, which offers residents and international visitors a unique opportunity to admire and enjoy world-class equestrian excellence.
Mr Richard Ireland, CEO, Asia, Clarion Events said, “Following the success of our 2025 edition, we are looking forward to bringing equestrian thrills and more to Hong Kong again. The programming for 2026 is set to be even more spectacular than last year’s event. The return of the show also underscores our vision of advancing equestrian sports in Hong Kong and GBA. By working together with all our partners, we hope to inspire future generations of riders, enhance community involvement, and celebrate the rich heritage of equestrian culture across the region.”
Mr Simon Brooks-Ward, CVO CBE TD, Chairman, HPower Group said, “We are delighted to see the return of the Longines Hong Kong International Horse Show after its inaugural event in January 2025. We aim to produce an event which will encourage participation from our European International Competitors but will also encourage young riders from many Asian countries including Hong Kong. And, of course, we always aim to provide our audience with a hugely entertaining show to encourage their engagement with equestrian sport.”
Mr Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, GBS, JP, CEO, The Hong Kong Jockey Club said, “The HKJC is a world leader in horse racing, with our international racing events being one of the highlights of the global racing calendar. Equestrian sport has long been a key focus for the Club - from the retraining of retired racehorses for equestrian sport, to our public riding schools, to the technical, advisory and logistical support we have provided for major equestrian events, including the Beijing 2008 Olympic and Paralympics Games, Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games and Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games. Our aim is to develop equestrian sport in Hong Kong to a global level. We are therefore delighted to be a strategic partner of the Longines Hong Kong International Horse Show and look forward to sharing our expertise. Through our partners across the Greater Bay Area and beyond, we also look forward to welcoming many tourists to enjoy world-class equestrian sport and world-class racing at the HKJC’s racecourses. All of this underlines how Hong Kong is now a hub for top-line sport and entertainment.”
