The curtain came down on the 2025 Summer Showcase at the Longines Tops International Arena with a thrilling CSI4* Grand Prix finale that saw nine world-class combinations battle it out in a high-octane jump-off. It was Willem Greve and the spectacular Grandorado TN N.O.P. who rose to the occasion, producing a double clear and stopping the clock in a blistering 37.19 seconds to claim the final victory of the weekend on home soil.
Cheered on by a passionate Dutch crowd, Greve and his seasoned KWPN stallion combined power, scope, and efficiency to edge out Natalie Dean of the USA, who delivered a composed and fast double clear with Con Calma, crossing the timers in 38.25 seconds for a well-earned second place.
Brazil’s Yuri Mansur and Incanto VDL looked on track to challenge for the win with a scorching time of 36.06, but a single rail down left them in third—fastest of the four-faulters.
The jump-off tested riders with sweeping turns and forward distances, rewarding those who could balance risk with precision.
The remaining jump-off contenders all delivered competitive rounds, with four faults deciding much of the order. Khaled Almobty (KSA) and Spacecake finished fourth, followed by Koen Vereecke (BEL) and Quinoa de la Liniere in fifth. Max Wachman (IRL) and Kilkenny, Bassem Mohammed (QAT) with Rocket Man, Izabella Stone (AUS) aboard Tulara Stolzette, and Manuel Fernandez Saro (ESP) with Ezilis du Mesnil completed the top nine after strong efforts in a fast-paced final.
In a truly international top nine, the leaderboard featured athletes from Europe, the Middle East, North and South America, and Australia, reflecting the global calibre of competition at Valkenswaard’s Summer Showcase.

2* Grand Prix
The audience enjoyed some fantastic sport during the 2* Grand Prix of the Summer Showcase this Sunday afternoon. Forty-two combinations came into the arena, with 17 qualifying for the jump-off. French course designer Eddy Castellon had set a challenging course in the grass arena that demanded speed and agility. It was an exciting jump-off in which the participants all went all out for victory. Dutch rider Manon Hees mastered the challenge best and won with a super-fast time of 38.21 seconds. Her horse, the nine-year-old KWPN mare La Napoule B (Grandorado TN NOP x Quick Star), cleared the obstacles effortlessly and secured victory for the mother of two. Second place was shared by two French riders: Jeanne Sadran with Gloire Gravelotte (SF, Crusador TV x Untouchable 27) and Ines Joly with Come On Z (Zang, Comme Il Faut x VDL Zirocco Blue). Sadran, who will celebrate her 24th birthday in a few days, stopped the clock at 38.33 seconds, and her compatriot achieved the same time.
Young Horse Final
The young horses (six and seven years old) rode their Final in the beautiful grass arena on this Sunday morning. A total of 43 talented young horses competed, 16 of which qualified for the jump-off. Among these 16 were three six-year-olds, of which Jaspe du Lys (SF, Dollar du Rouet x Cristallo) with French rider Ines Joly was the fastest. With a beautiful, smooth round, they crossed the finish line in 34.47 seconds, good for ninth place. Then it was the turn of the seven-year-olds, and during the competition, the lead changed hands frequently. There were some nice fast rounds by Sjoerd Kommers (NED), Clara Pezzoli (ITA) and Manon Hees (NED), among others, but their times were not fast enough. Germany's Claricia Kendra Brinkop showed that a time in the 30 seconds was possible and stopped the clock at 30.64 with Sniper Des Lilas Blancs (BWP, Hamilton Du Chapitre x Calvaro Z). But the sting was in the tail, and Dutch rider Tom Schellekens went one better. The rider from Esbeek in Brabant, who won this class on Friday, rode a super-fast round with the agile AES mare Nala van de Zietfort (El Barone 111 Z x Lord Z Z) and was 0.19 seconds faster than the German. But victory was not yet assured, as there were still two combinations to go that had to be taken into account. Leopold van Asten and VDL Groep Noucha, who had already achieved good results this weekend, had a bit of bad luck on the double and saw victory slip away. Last in the ring was Maikel van der Vleuten, who rode a superb round with Nisther K (KWPN, Comthago VDL x Twisther), but they just lacked some speed. However, his time was good enough for third place.
1* Grand Prix
The 1* Grand Prix featured 42 combinations, 16 of which qualified for the jump-off. The audience was treated to beautiful and exciting sport right up to the end. Sweden's Alma Ranebo ultimately proved to be the fastest with the 10-year-old Kick (KWPN, Zacharov TN x Haarlem) in a time of 35.23 seconds. The 31-year-old rider from Bjärred achieved her first Grand Prix victory with this horse, who has only recently been with her. An impressive performance and promising for the future. Second place went to Abdulrahman Al Fuzae (KUW) and the KWPN gelding Gijsbrand (Arthos R x Hamilton). The combination was only 0.10 seconds slower than the winner's time, 35.33 seconds. The Mexican Eduardo Sanchez Navarro came third with Messtharga PS (OS, HH Messenger x Conthargos). They crossed the finish line in 35.51 seconds. The best Dutch rider was Bart Lips with Melbourne (KWPN, Hermitage VDL x Baltic VDL), who finished in sixth place with a time of 37.08 seconds.
