Longines Global Champions Tour Championship Battle Heads to the Streets of Monte Carlo

The Longines Global Champions Tour returns to the glittering Principality of Monaco from 2–4 July 2026 for one of the most iconic and technically demanding stops on the calendar. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Port Hercule and nestled alongside the legendary Formula 1 pit lane, the eighth stage of the season promises another unforgettable weekend as the world's best riders battle for glory in the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix du Prince de Monaco.

Where Formula 1 tests speed, Monaco's LGCT arena tests absolute precision. Every stride counts in the smallest arena of the season, where razor-sharp turns, unforgiving distances and the electric atmosphere leave no room for error. It is a venue where the finest margins separate victory from heartbreak, and where only the very best thrive under pressure.

As the prestigious event marks its 20th edition in the Principality. As Stage 9 of the 2026 championship season, the world's leading riders and horses will once again descend on one of the Tour's most iconic destinations for three days of world-class sport. Celebrating two decades of unforgettable competition in the heart of Monte Carlo, this landmark edition will also feature a refreshed event layout, designed to further enhance the experience for horses, riders and spectators while preserving the unique atmosphere of this legendary venue.

With the 2026 rider list is unveiled, another world-class field is preparing to tackle one of show jumping's greatest challenges.

With the LGCT Championship entering a pivotal stage, valuable championship points are once again on offer as many of the sport's biggest names arrive in Monte Carlo determined to strengthen their title ambitions. Championship contenders Abdel Said, Katrin Eckermann, Max Kühner, Edwina Tops-Alexander are all among those aiming to capitalise on the unique test Monaco presents.

The streets of Monte Carlo have crowned some of the sport's greatest champions, and several former Monaco winners return looking to add another chapter to their history. Ines Joly, Julien Epaillard, Maikel van der Vleuten and Emanuele Gaudiano all know what it takes to conquer the famous arena and will be hoping experience proves decisive once again.

The strength in depth across this year's field is exceptional. Former LGCT Champion Gilles Thomas and Scott Brash joined by stars including Christian Ahlmann, Philipp Weishaupt, Pieter Devos, Denis Lynch, Niels Bruynseels, Jur Vrieling, Marco Kutscher, Gregory Cottard, Julien Epaillard, Jane Richard, Yuri Mansur, Nicola Philippaerts, Marlon Zanotelli, Nayel Nassar, Sanne Thijssen, Jessica Mendoza, Sergio Álvarez Moya and Piergiorgio Bucci, ensuring another spectacular contest beneath the Monaco skyline.

The next generation continues to shine on the Longines Global Champions Tour, with rising stars Jeanne Sadran, Zoe Hank Conter, Anastasia Nielsen, Carlos Hank Guerreiro, Inigo Lopez de la Osa and Marie-Eder Ferrero all ready to seize one of the biggest opportunities of the season.
