WHEN TWO MONUMENTAL WORKS MEET AT THE FOOT OF THE EIFFEL TOWER

From 19 to 21 June 2026, the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping will welcome an exceptional guest: ZEUS, the mechanical horse from the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony. Created by Atelier blam and supported by SANOFI, the artwork became one of the most striking and poetic images of the Olympic Games.

After captivating the world during its spectacular appearance on the Seine, ZEUS will continue its journey in the heart of Paris, facing the Eiffel Tower, as part of the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping, an international event blending top-level sport, culture, art and the French art de vivre.

Facing one another on the Champ-de-Mars, two monumental works will engage in a unique dialogue: the Eiffel Tower, a timeless symbol of French boldness and ingenuity, and ZEUS, the horse of the future turned contemporary icon.

On this Parisian ground, where the sound of horses’ hooves has echoed through history, from Théodore Géricault’s paintings to today’s greatest international riders the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping celebrates, more than ever, the dialogue between heritage, creation and movement.

The presence of ZEUS naturally reflects the DNA of the Paris Eiffel Jumping: celebrating the horse in all its forms — athlete, work of art, symbol of freedom, power and emotion.

For three days, the artwork will be showcased within the Village, open free of charge to the public, offering visitors a unique experience blending heritage, innovation and French excellence.

In an exceptional setting at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, this tribute to the horse will resonate alongside the world’s greatest international riders gathered for one of the major stages of the global show jumping circuit.

For Virginie Coupérie-Eiffel, Founder and President of the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping:

“The horse transcends centuries without ever losing its emotional power. With ZEUS, we rediscover this unique ability to inspire wonder, bring people together and convey emotion.

For me, as a descendant of Gustave Eiffel, there is something deeply moving in seeing this monumental iron artwork standing in dialogue with the Eiffel Tower, built by my great-great-grandfather.

At the foot of this monument, which embodies French boldness, ZEUS brings a contemporary, poetic and universal vision of the horse and movement. Its presence at the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping will be a defining moment, blending heritage, modernity and emotion.”

The Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping once again confirms its ambition to offer far more than a sporting competition: a true celebration of the horse, Paris, and the influence of French culture.
