Wirral Riding Centre has been established for over 40 years, providing riding lessons for adults and children of all abilities and ages by our qualified staff.
We run private lessons, group lessons and also have a very busy pony club on a Saturday afternoon.
We have over 30 horses and ponies so are able to accommodate all abilities from beginners through to experienced riders.
As a BHS Approved Riding School we are inspected regularly to ensure we meet high standards of safety, horse welfare and tuition.
It also means we are insured for public liability and that we comply with the latest health and safety legislation.
All our instructors receive regular training and either hold BHS qualifications or are working towards them.
We have an apprenticeship scheme in place where students can come and gain experience and when completed receive a full NVQ certificate in Horse Care.
We do PTT training for our students to become instructors and we also offer this course to clients wishing to progress down this route also.

Lovely lady greeted us and spoke directly to my little girl too. Instructor was great. Really liked the fact my little girl mounted from the block which she's never done in her riding school, normally leg up which my little girl has always struggled to do with her motor skills. So mounting from the block gave us both confidence in her. She then was asked did she want to do a lesson or hack for her first time. She was nervous so chose a lovely hack where the lady chatted to us both on the walk and didn't make us feel out of place for being there and newbies.

Disappointed yet again that unsuitable horse was chosen to work on canter. Child had very little tuition on this lesson.

not very good lesson. i wasnt able to make Gem work. she is a lovely horse who with i learnt to trot,but i dont think is the right horse for me to learn to canter.i think at the beggining i need a more straight forward horse, to master the movement of the canter and the canter itself x
